The Rough Rider Classic Carbon II Wharncliff is a classically styled knife with quality in abundance and a low price point. The blade is polished carbon steel with a Wharncliff form and a large match strike thumb notch for two handed opening. The handle combines roughened black micarta, nickle silver bolsters, brass liners and a Rough Rider shield inlayed into the scale. Of particular note is the highly attractive blue liners running the edge of the black scales.

Don't want to be to harsh on this knife at the price point it's at but mine obviously slipped through quality control. Blade had rust spots already and overall quality wasn't great, having bought Rough Ryder knives before and being very happy with them, this one was a disappointment.

In my never ending quest to find the perfect inexpensive daily carry, I decided to try another Rough Rider, and once again I have not been disappointed. The knife was sharp out of the box (now razor sharp after a few minutes attention), the blade centres almost exactly, and the quality is extremely goo - especially at this price point. The inner liners and blade back benefitted from a quick once over with fine grit wet and dry, and the knife now resides happily in my pocket (at least until my quest restarts. A really good working EFC at a very good price. HH service was perfect, as usual. Excellent all round

Again thanks to the guys at HH, for the best service in the business. Really pleased with this knife, bigger than I was expecting and definitely very capable of doing a full hard days work. Sharp out of the box and with a few strokes of a strop got it shaving sharp, good strong opening/closing with a very good half stop for the price you definitely can't go wrong

What a great value little knife. Very prompt delivery. Arrived sharp, only took 2 or 3 minutes work to make it razor sharp, and so far it has kept the edge very well. Bought to use, not to collect: but a nice looking knife anyway and great functional blade. Personally I find this type of substantial sheepsfoot blade more useful than the spear point type more usually popular for pocket knives; the ruler straight edge is very very easy to sharpen and cuts effortlessly. For general handiness and superb value, I absolutely recommend this knife. Don't keep it in a collection, use it.
