All the knives in the Rough Rider Amber Jigged Bone Series feature mirror polished 440A stainless steel blades with match strike pulls. The handles are amber jigged bone with brass pins and liners, ringed nickel silver bolsters, and a nickel silver Rough Rider shield. “This is my 5th Rough Ryder folding knife, they are all good but this Razor Trapper is maybe the best finished, no gaps anywhere and beautifully polished, both blades are mildly hollow ground, the clip blade is very nicely proportioned with no bevel on the back which pleases me, and the razor style blade has turned out to be very useful. I wondered if 440 would be sharp enough for this style, and after about 3 hours of OCD type sharpening I can say with some confidence that it has taken a fantastic edge and is living up to the motto etched on the clip blade, 'Razor Sharp Steel', and I probably use the Razor blade more than the clip blade now that I've become used to it. Another advantage of the Razor blade is that it is quick and easy to open by grabbing the protruding corner near the tip. Overall it is incredibly good value for money, out performs far more expensive knives, and is an excellent edc, although I'm not sure the clip blade is legal carry or if I could convince a cop with a ruler to measure the cutting edge rather than the blade which is about 7mm over the limit, but I live and work in fairly remote countryside so it's not much of an issue for me.”

“Excellent knife sharp no wobbly blades . Have a Rough Ryder version of this one from years ago and a small Boker tree brand version . Picking over this knife it is hard to fault and I have seldom got a duffer. RR knife. . Unusual to have a razor blade which is quite handy . Well priced non locker . Would also look well in a collection. Not surprised it went quickly !,”

“Looked the look but didn't expect too much from this knife. How wrong was I. It's been a brilliant EDC. The blades are sharp, hold an edge and have good retention on the blade. It feels great and looks superb. Very happy”
