The Hinderer XM-18 is known the world over as one of the toughest folders regardless of your mission. Rick’s focus when designing the XM-18 was a no nonsense tactical tool ready for the simplest cutting tasks to high speed low drag operations.
Compact without compromise. The XM-18 3.25" version is the perfect middle ground between the 3" & 3.5" versions of this classic, and features the recognisable Hinderer spanto profile that first made an appearance on XM-18's over 20 years ago. Stonewashed CPM Magnacut steel, Battle blue anodised titanium handles, and a the tri-way pivot system ensure this folder is made of sturdy stuff and deploys smoothly every time.
This model is finished with red G10 scales that form the outer handle layer of one side, giving the XM-18 its distinct styling.

“I got the wrong knife! But it's fine!! There was a Hinderer XM-18 3.25" folder in the box, and had the 'Spanto' blade been black I would've definitely ordered the black G10 handle anyway. As it is, I ordered the red G10 handle - I quite fancied it next to the 'Battle' blue anodised titanium and stonewashed blade. However, like I said, I got sent the black G10 handle version instead by mistake. The knife itself is truly amazing! The fit and finish is superb, and in the hand, well, personally, in my medium to large size hand this 3.25" variant somehow just feels like it was supposed to be there! I have got a few Hinderer XM 'Slippy's', albeit in different colour combos, so I kind of already knew what to expect really. The 3" Slippy did feel great, but it did feel a little bit on the small side. For me, this XM-18 3.25" feels much better. It's also heavier than the Slippy and as such extremely close to perfection! I've really fallen for it! It is now certainly one of my most favourite knives in my collection. Thanks HH for this. It arrived the next day like usual. You didn't get it quite right this time with the colour and that, but it still gets 5 stars! Because what I know about Rick Hinderer is that the scales for this 3.25" version will probably become available quite soon in all sorts of colours and materials! Fingers crossed about that! Cheers.”
