The Nitecore EDC27 torch has a maximum output of 3,000 lumens from the 2 x Luminus SST40 LEDs and is powered by a built-in 1700mAh li-ion battery. The light is rechargeable via USB-C and includes a USB charging cable. Proximity sensor detects obstructions close to the LEDs and adjusts the brightness to prevent overheating.The beginning of a flashlight revolution, the EDC27 offers a slimline, compact design with outstanding performance. The light offers five brightness levels and a strobe mode, all of which are operated by the dual switch user interface on the tail end of the torch.The torch is made from high strength stainless steel with a Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) titanium coating and matte finish for resistance to scratches and fingerprints.The EDC27 features a multi-functional OLED display screen which provides real-time information on brightness levels, remaining runtime, battery voltage and lockout mode. To prevent accidental activation, the torch has a half and full lockout mode which display as either 1 or 2 respectively, on the screen.

Turbo: 3000 lumens
High: 1000 lumens - 1 hr 45 mins runtime
Mid: 200 lumens - 3 hrs 45 mins runtime
Low: 65 lumens - 11 hrs runtime
Ultralow: 15 lumens - 37 hrs runtime
Plus Strobe mode (3000 lumens).
Maximum beam distance 220 meters, waterproof to IP54 and resistant to impacts up to 1 meter.
Includes: Lanyard and USB-C charging cable.

“I'm not a torch guy by any means, I own a 30 year old AA maglite and a D cell led lenser, but I found myself needing a powerful pocket sized 'torch' recently and this seemed to fit the bill nicely. Turns out it's actually incredible and surpasses any expectations I had. The familiarisation time is short and the kit itself is robust and reliable. “Love this!....Feels incredible well made and solid, You Tube vids made the operation sound complicated...It really isnt, Very intuitive and looks the part too....Slips in your pocket discretely, Im rarely impressed but I am with this.”

“Gosh, I thought when the box arrived. Something this small can't be much use. I couldnt be more wrong. It slips unnoticed into my pocket with my wallet and packs quite a punch at 1000 lumens. Turbo is dazzling. Its going to pay for itself when the nights draw in. So useful”

“Same display, same two-stage lockout, just more light and longer run times in a hand size package slightly thicker than a smart phone.It's a substantially weighty flashlight for its size. The lanyard, big enough for a wrist is, for once, the same thickness with no thin thread for the lanyard hole.In Turbo mode it has a very short run time, 10 seconds when it times out and shuts off. The display shows a rapidly shortening bar as the time runs out. Repeated use of turbo is not a good idea as it gets VERY HOT VERY QUICKLY. I think it possible one could get a burn if put back in a pocket close to the skin after using it repeatedly in Turbo mode.I'm sure there will be times when 3000 Lumens in my pocket will be useful as long as I'm careful afterwards. I'm a great fan of Nitecore and HH. I missed out on buying this when it first arrived at HH having spent too long thinking about how useful it might be. This time I got it within 24hrs thanks to HH's and Royal Mail's efficiency.”
