Kizer Bugai Micarta Black Folding Knife Reviews

4.8 Rating 5 Reviews
Read Heinnie Haynes Reviews

The Kizer Bugai is a solid working knife with a wide practical blade for a variety of working environments. Not only is it a substantial tool but it has some quality materials to boot. The blade is 3V stainless steel with a blackwash finish and finely sharpened edge. The handle too feels abundant in the hand and is made from Micarta which will put up with some heavy duty use.

What a bargain! A 3V blade with a nice deep belly, and yet again Kizer provide very nice micarta handle scales. The action is very smooth, it took less than a minute to work out the 'spidey flick' works best to open it. I don't know how I missed this version of the Bugai before now, but I'm glad I have one now.

What's not to like? Micarta scales, deep carry clip, very smooth action, and of course a high grade steel at this price !! Good lock up and really comfy despite my big nuts. For the dollar it's a solid performer, I like the blade shape for edc chores. Very lightweight and easy to carry.

Nice folder very erganomic in the hand only the thumb hole to flick it open took alittle getting used to but very solid when in use .. few minor details i wasnt happy hence the 4/5 stars there was a little rust on the inside of the handle and the part of the blade wer it locks in isnt coated black but as somone who uses ther gear constantly this is a minor issue and overall dosnt effect the bugai when in use other than that very slicey and very lightweight with maximum grippyness thanks to the texture of the micarta

Yep sweet little pocket knife. Easy doing the spydi flick, great blade shape, proper deep clip, decent lock up for a liner, love the micarta, all round really good for the money. Love 3v, it suits my work life, so it's nice to have a well priced work blade in PM steel. Decent purchase and great HH service as ever.

Yes yet again another cracking piece from Kizer, the fit and finish is excellent the grip is very comfortable with no hotspots and the blade is bang on the grind is near perfect as you can get with a beautifully edge already on this version which is the 3V one. I can highly recommend this piece , if you have read other reviews the silver or un blacked part of the blade referred to is the grind for the locking face surface of the liner lock! And not anything unusual at all if you are confused by the persons complaint. Happy knife collecting and more importantly always stay safe.
