The Kizer Walnut folding knife makes a triumphant return as one of Kizer’s most popular everyday carry designs. Loved by enthusiasts for its clean lines, ergonomic build, and reliable performance, the Walnut has built a reputation as a dependable companion for daily tasks. Its sleek design, lightweight build, and smooth action make it a pleasure to carry and use, while the refined styling ensures it looks as good as it performs. As a returning favourite, the Walnut is back to claim its place in the pockets of those who appreciate practical design with a touch of elegance.
What makes the Walnut particularly appealing is its UK-friendly design, allowing knife users in the UK to carry it with confidence and peace of mind. With non-locking slipjoint functionality and a sub-3-inch blade, it complies with UK carry laws while still delivering excellent cutting performance. Whether for opening boxes, slicing fruit, or handling everyday cutting chores, the Walnut offers practicality without compromise. For those who missed out the first time or want to refresh their collection, its return marks a welcome addition to the Kizer lineup once again.

When I originally saw the Walnut, I thought it looked awful. Then I got my hands on it. This has become my favourite everyday carry. I have a vast collection from all the Baby Banters, Vosteed Racoon Cubs & Chipmunk to the minibay / other smaller knives. In terms of fidget/deployment factor, the Walnut has no rival (yet). The thumb and finger flick has a satisfying clunk as it deploys is highly addictive. It even has a bonus factor, as an EDC, it's probably the most non-threatening everyday carry. I love it, I have 2 just so I don't get depressed should I lose on in the future. In fact, I might need to stock up on another...

A great unique little knife and very sharp. It's also a great little knife to fidget with and the perfect daily carry. The hinge did need a little oiling as it was squeaky but that was easily rectified.

I am a fan of quality small / fifth pocket knives. For comparison I have the Black Fox Bean Gen 2, Kizer Mini Bay Serape, Boker Plus Subcom 42, Spyderco Squeak, and the closest in design and blade shape, the Boker Plus Sprocket. All good UK friendly knives with a finger choil ( I modified the Bean by filing the edge of the sharpening choil ). The cleaver blade of the Sprocket and the Walnut may not be the most versatile for everyday carry, the remarkable thing about the Walnut is, it has the same closed footprint as the Sprocket, but when open the Walnut is 1cm shorter with little sacrifice in cutting. Whats more I can get a full five finger gorilla grip on it with my medium sized hand, and a sturdy three finger grip with my thumb on the jimping. The build quality is superb. A great design impeccably executed.

I have a few small/fifth pocket UK friendly knives including the Boker Plus Subcom 42, Spyderco Squeak, and Boker Plus Sprocket. The Kizer Walnut compares very favourably. When closed it has the same footprint as the Sprocket yet is 1cm shorter when open, but sacrifices little blade length. In my medium sized hand I can get a full and ergonomically comfortable full fist grip. With my thumb on the jimping I can get a firm and comfortable three finger grip. While the cleaver shaped blade may not be the most versatile for everyday use, it is non the less an excellent design very well executed. I would not hesitate to replace it if lost. The walk, talk, and fidget factor is off the scale. Well done Kizer
