The Cold Steel Spike designed by Barry Dawson, is a Cold Steel Knife pared down to its bare essentials. Its thick, narrow blade is distal tapered and flat ground to a zero edge. This creates a unique cross section that facilitates cutting power previously unknown in such a thick, narrow blade. The integral handle of The Spike compliments its minimalist theme. It has been carefully shaped out of solid steel, wrapped with cord and had all of its sharp edges "melted" so they don't irritate the hand. Each spike comes with a sturdy Secure-Ex sheath and steel bead lanyard so you can wear it around your neck or lash it to a "D" ring, back pack, or other gear.

“A fantastic knife from CS, Very comfortable to hold in hand, razor sharp. Wearing as a neck knife you barely notice it, the knife is pone of my favourite ones now. been let down by a UPS driver who rather than delivering to the collection point delivered the knife to the SCHOOL which is next to the collection point. A package with a symbol of a knife to the school ???. Definitely they are a Useless Postal Service. Great support from Nick from CS, thank you”

“Got the tanto version as I couldn't decide between this and the Kershaw dune. The cold steel spike wins hands down. Slightly bigger than the dune but much better grip. Handle material is a bit cheap looking but does the job and not complaing for the price. Blade nice and sharp and comes with a decent sheath that holds it well, just replaced the chain with paracord.”
