BPS Knives are a family run business based in Ukraine. They produce an impressive range of bushcraft and hunting knives that are made to be used in the outdoors. There are no unnecessary embellishments or decorations just supremely sharp blades and hard wearing handles!
The BPS HK2 Bushcraft Carbon uses 1066 carbon steel honed to an incredible edge with a traditional Scandi grind and a false upper edge. Formed and balanced to be an all-rounder for skinning, fire and food prep and more it has a generously sized handle with finger grooves that provide a seriously good grip even in the wet. The raised jimping allows for controlled, detailed work.
The handle is made up of two slabs of walnut wood screwed firmly to the tang with a lanyard hole to make the knife your own. It is supplied with a very high quality leather belt sheath.

Haven't used yet but first impression out of the box is mixed. I bought on the recommendation of HH and overall I'm happy. Razor sharp and covered in grease with a good leather sheath, the only downside was the wooden handle that looks somewhat cheap (hard to explain but it may just be down to the colour of the wood and my preference for dark wood). Overall, another "cheap" knife that was recommended by HH and that's good enough for me

F&F is functionally spon on and comes with a hazy mirror finish, had vastly more expensive knives ship more wonky than this. It is also the sharpest knife I've ever seen out of the box however the steel will roll chopping very soft wood. I'm not yet sure whether this is because the factory edge has no micro bevel or because the steel is inferior.

I can't resist a cheap Carbon Steel knife. This one didn't disappoint. It was sharp out of the box, but with a little dressing and stropping, it soon was able to shave the finest of hairs.. It's a full tang and it's solid... The leather carrier too was a welcome surprise as its quality is worthy of a more costly knife. I'm looking at the rest of the range from this brand too.

The knife is beautifully made and seems marvellous value for money. The handle is on the small side even for my dainty hands. The blade is sharp and hopefully will resharpen with careful use. The sheath seems to be generic and not specifically designed for the knife. Not as good a fit as I would like.. The only real annoyance is the serrations on the top of the blade next to the handle. The edges of the teeth are sharp if your thumb lands on them as it is a natural rest for it. I see no useful purpose having them. I will probably file the teeth to rounder profiles or even remove more of the metal as necessary. An all round knife at the lower end of prices but I'm very pleased with it so far.

After buying a Beavercraft blade, I decided to give BPS ago. Only had it a day, and I am quite impressed with the overall finish of it. Not had a chance to test it on anything yet, but I think it will manage most food prep, game, and fishing related tasks easily.Judging by the false bevel, which would be very easily to sharpen. I would not attempt battening, but you have a enough edge on the back to strike ferro rods. This hopefully will make Mora realise you can make decent cheap full tang wooden scaled blades sub £100
