As usual exemplary service from HH. The knife: excellent steel, holds its edge very well indeed. The full tang combined with the stag antler provides brilliant balance and grip even when wet. The leather sheath is very good quality indeed! 5+ Stars.

Delivered next day as usual with impeccable service by HH as always. First impressions: good Lord what a beast of a knife. Fit and finish are faultless, as you'd expect of a tool with this price tag attached. The blade came razor sharp, no work needed. I love the handle scales, great fit in my hands, and I have BIG hands. The sheath is amazing, incredibly well built and thick. My only quibble is that I would like to see it come in brown leather instead of black. I'm not a massive fan of black leather, granted I used to be, but I was young and needed the money and I don't go to those sort of clubs any more. If you want a big, heavy grail knife to go with your Western wardrobe then this is it. It's not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.

HAVING ACCIDENTALLY DELETED MY PREVIOUS PRAISFUL REVIEW THIS WILL BE SHORTER BUT NO LESS GLOWING.THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL KNIFE , THE FALSE EDGE MESURES APPROXIMATELY 4 3/4 INCHES AND THE SPINE IS 1/4 INCH THICK. THE BLADE HAS A SATIN FINISH AND REALLY DID ARRIVE SHAVING SHARP.THE CROSSPIECE IS POSSIBLY QUALITY STAINLESS STEEL AND QUITE ROBUST.THE HANDLE SHOWS NO TAPER TO THE TANG SO WITH THE IMPRESSIVE HORN SCALES THE RESULT IS A NICE CHUNKYHANDLE. I HAVE A MEDIUM TO LARGE HANDWHICH THE HANDLE FITS NICELY. THE SHEATH WHICH CAN BE SEEN IN THE ILLUSTRATION DESERVES IT'S OWN 5 STARSIT IS QUALITY BLACK LEATHER AND VERYWELL CONSTRUCTED WITH A GOOD THICK WELT AND A NICE COMPLEMENT TO THE BLADE.PRICEY BUT WELL WORTH IT, THIS IS A STRONG AND IMPRESSIVE BOWIE AND WELL WORTH THE COST. IF YOU CAN, BUY IT,IF YOU CANT, THEN SAVE FOR IT. YOU CERTAINLY WILL NOT BE SORRY

I would call this a medium-weight Bowie. I own a Puma stag-handled Bowie (smaller & lighter), and an old Nowills (Sheffield) stag-handled Bowie, which is nearly a short sword in weight & length. Great Boker quality, good balance, and a nice secure grip. I thought the version of this with a plain wood handle was a bit dull, but the stag-handled version was a must-have.
