The Boker Plus "Out the Front" Full Auto Comb is a tactical beard comb. Repeat, it's a tactical beard comb. But for fans of engineering and mechanical excellence the OTF comb is the biggest thing to happen to beards since beards became a thing!
Modelled on the handle of the famous Kalashnikov rifle bayonet it features a rock solid operation using the Boker Kalashnikov mechanism manufactured by Cobratech for a lightning groom. The blackwashed, D2 carbon steel comb flies out and is ready to take your unkemptness to task. And at the slide of a button it flies back in.
The precision mechanism combines springs and latches to cleverly hold the "blade" in place and allows engagement and disengagement at a flick of the switch. You'll quickly discover that one of its many attractions is that it is impossible to put down and hearing that satisfying clank of the "blade" engaging fast becomes addictive.
Here is your first opportunity to experience the addictive operation of a quality Automatic OTF mechanism in the UK.
Exclusive to Heinnie Haynes® it has a removable pocket clip for carry convenience and is supplied with a draw string pouch featuring the Heinnie® logo.

I had to have this, always wondered what an otf was like, as they are illegal in UK. This thing flies out, ready to battle with your bedraggled locks or beard hair and flies back in, very satisfying to play with. Obviously nothing to compare it to but a cool addition to the collection

I always buy my knives from Heinnie and always the best shipping and customer service. This time it was a gift from a loved one. Wow what a comb! I have a beard and the wider teeth are great for a beard! I have to say that this has become my everyday carry since Xmas 2024 and since its in my pocket and knives are very difficult in the UK to EDC I end up using this comb for a variety of purposes for what its not intended for liking opening up boxes, wrapping from parcels, even scooping pizza stuck to aluminum foil, whatever requires a piece of metal in a pinch to do something this ends up getting used for that too! Its so strong and built like a proper knife (made of D2 like a knife) and it seems to be a metal handle (i could be wrong but it has to be metal as its so rigid and strong too! The snapping function back and forth is amazing and as fast as a blink of an eye. If you misfire it against a solid object you just yank the blade out and it will snap back into the rythym. I have done this a few time by accident and thought I broke the lever but everything is so rugged and tough feels like it will never break. Having this for a few months now I honestly do not know how i lived without it as it is so darn handy, not just for combing my beard but for all of life's challenges when you need a tool to do something man oh man this thing comes in handy. I just would not use it in public as you might scare people. So when I deploy it I use it in my campervan, at home on the couch, or in a bathroom where no one can see you. Again I carry this everyday and wont leave home without it. The lever action is initially very stiff but now seems to be relaxing a bit which is making it more comfortable to deploy, its stiff at first. Its worth every penny of the £70 asking price!

Great to fiddle with as normal OTF bladed knives are banned in the UK. I do actually have a beard so can be fully justified Heinnie 's service was the usual excellent standard. - ordered one day, arrived the next .

I wanted one of these for over a year, but didnt really have a need for one. I have grown a beard especially and had mine for a few weeks now and love it. Fabulous quality, fabulous mechanism and very satisfying to use. Get one, you wont regret it.

I ordered this for a bit of fun, but also because it seemed like a good quality mechanism. I wasn't wrong, there are cheaper alternatives but not in this league when it comes to realism and functionality. The auto action is solid and precise with a reassuring thunk which you can feel in the handle, if it was a blade it would be superb. But having a comb is the anti-shock when you open it in front of your mates while having a drink and then casually comb your hair. It got some surprisingly different reactions from shock to laughter through to "wow that's so cool!"It's the best fidget toy ever and I love it, it has a D2 steel comb which would certainly be better than any plastic comb in a self defence situation.I can't recommend this enough, but one and enjoy! ?

Extremely well made comb with the added fun of having it shoot in and out of the front. I had read the other positive reviews prior to purchasing and wasn't disappointed when it arrived. Great purchase ?

This Boker comb comes with the same hi quality craftmanship as the actual Kalashnikov otf knife of which i also own legally i live in CZ .the handle half's meet with precision thr join line is barely visible. It is the most expensive comb i will ever own . But there is a more expensive one on the market a microtech otf copy at $340.the mechanism is exactly the same as the actual knife . I know as i took my knife and comb apart to compare them . I would buy one for the same prices as the knife just to have the pair . So cool i have never had a problem with knife mechanism and the comb action works flawlessly.

Bought as a gift, but if you are like me, a responsible knife user and you remember a time long, long ago, probably overseas where OTF knives were readily available to purchase and own this brings back some fond memories. The build quality is superb and the action is clean and crisp .
