The Boker Plus Worldwide - based on a design by Chad Los Banos - represents a configuration whose features pass legal carry requirements in most countries.
The slipjoint knife has a very strong spring to ensure safe operation even without a locking mechanism, a feature further enhanced by the pronounced 90° stop of the blade. Steel liners and Zytel scales form the handle that carries the four-way clip and lanyard hole for carry options.

“I bought one of these about 7 or 8 years ago and was very impressed with it, not only was is a very well designed knife, very sharp out of the box and well made, but most importantly the slip joint on it was strong. It is closed in two movements through against the slip joint and one had to be careful to avoid overly fast closure or one's fingers might get in the way of the blade, this was no problem at all and I have done this hundreds of times without incident.Contrast that with an old scout folder that I had from my father when I was a youth.It was about the same size but a weak slip joint in comparison.As a youngster I was trying to carry out a scouting task and the blade shut on my fingers, cutting them very deep down to the bone.In those days there was no visit to the hospital, we were tough and after antiseptic we just taped the very deep wide cuts up and left them to heal. I still have wide scars on three of my fingers from that incident, had the knife had a lock it would never have happened.But the idiot so called hierarchy in this country got rid of the locks and no doubt other people have suffered the same type of injuries caused by the same glaring fault in the design ie. a folder without a strong slip joint or lock.Then they made it illegal to have an EDC of a fixed blade. Flaming idiots, they could instead have just limited the length of the fixed blade, one of which I used to carry on my belt as an EDC.Recently I bought a replacement world wide in case my other one wore out or they stopped making them.However the latest version of the worldwide has a weak slip joint in comparison with my original.So, gone is the in built safety of my first knife, I will just have to keep it going as long as I can.***********************************.So with the strong slip joint gone, I give this knife 3 stars.”
