Hi Jackie, Thank you for leaving your review, I'm sorry to hear your dog seems itchier on Protect. In these circumstances, the increase in symptoms (itchiness) can be due to something called a Herxheimer reaction, or the 'healing crisis'. This often happens as a result of a dog detox, and can result in various symptoms. Some of these might be vomiting, diarrhoea, eye/ear discharge, itchy skin, and others, though they’re generally a temporary flare up. When this occurs, we generally recommend to stop any supplements until the symptoms return to normal. It can also help to provide lots of fluid, like bone broth, to help flush through and cleanse the body of these temporary released toxins. With this in mind, it may be best to pause the use of Protect for a few days or until the itching subsides back to a normal level. You can then reintroduce it slowly, as a lower rate, to see how your dog adjusts to it. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.
