Dental care is unfortunately one of the most overlooked health issues that pet owners concern themselves with.
As in humans, plaque bacteria constantly forms in the mouth of all cats and dogs. Once plaque has calcified into tartar it can no longer be brushed off. In many cases it has to be removed by a vet using ultrasound and anaesthetic. If tartar build-up is left untreated it can result in bad breath, gum disease, tooth decay and premature tooth loss.
Tartar that is allowed to remain for too long can also cause infections that can spread throughout the body and damage the heart, lung, liver and negatively affect kidney functions.
ProDen PlaqueOff can be used by all cats and dogs and it is recommended to start when the animal has got its permanent teeth.
ProDen PlaqueOff® Powder is not a substitute for tooth brushing. It is a complement to brushing and the combination will help remove plaque and tartar and keep your pet’s mouth clean.
How long can I give my pet ProDen Plaque Off?
The product should be given regularly in accordance with the dosage instructions. Results can usually be seen within 2-3 weeks. The positive effect can be seen as long as the product is taken, but disappears when you stop using it. The product is safe and can be used continuously.
Can pregnant and lactating dogs and cats use ProDen Plaque Off?
No studies have been carried out with specific focus on the effects of ProDen PlaqueOff® on pregnant or lactating animals. Therefore, we do not recommend giving the product to pets that are pregnant or lactating.
Not recommended for animals being treated for hyperthyroidism.
