“I purchased these alongside Don't bug me spot on. Last year I tried multiple natural products, none of which worked and as I trust Healthful pets I hoped these collars would be different. Absolutley rubbish for ticks! We live in a high tick area and during the 2 months I tried this product on two terriers I still ended up removing at least 3 (deer, dog & hedgehog) ticks per day and if I am lucky enough to find small (larvae) ticks I have found these too. Twice the ticks had latched on underneath the collars. Don't waste your money.”

“I hate to say it, but I'm not sure how effective this is -last year we didn't have a single tick, but this year, even with the collar on + biospotix spray + garlic and fenugree tablets, I found a second tick on my dogs muzzle in less than 2 weeks :(”

Hi there. I am sorry to hear this. I must confess we are hearing a lot of issues with ticks this year. I understand that ticks are going to be a significant problem in 2026. You are certainly doing the right thing with a multi-layered approach. It’s also worth noting that in areas with high tick activity, even well-applied deterrents may not prevent every tick from attaching, so regular checking after walks remains important. “I have had this Collar on for 2 weeks and still finding ticks whemn i do my weekly full groom , thinking of going back to a Seresto collar”

Hello Mandy, Thank you for your feedback regarding the Mr Slobberchops Flea & Tick Collar. Sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the product and are still finding ticks when you do your full groom. We have asked Mr Slobberchops for their thoughts. They have explained that natural repellents work very differently to chemical insecticides like Seresto. While chemicals are designed to kill on contact, natural products focus on making the host "unattractive" to pests. Because of this, they always recommend a multi-layered approach, such as using a spot on as well as a collar or spraying just before walking. They explained that every dog’s skin chemistry is unique; what works for one dog may not be enough for another. Factors like coat type, local pest density and the dog's individual scent all play a role. Wishing you all the best Healthful Pets

Hi Sue Many thanks for leaving this review, but sorry to hear that you havent been happy with this product. I understand that you had an existing flea problem. These products are sold as repellents and not aimed at pre-existing flea issues, although sometimes they do help. Thank you for leaving us a review of the Mr Slobberchops Flea & Tick Collars. Please note that whilst the aroma may dissipate, the collar will still be effective. Whilst we may no longer be able to smell it, parasites will, as their sense of smell is much better than ours.
