Bvitamins are essential for dogs’ and cats’ health.
These water-soluble nutrients are required for your pet’s healthy normal:

Nervous and immune system function
Growth and development
Energy production
Cell metabolism
Organ and tissue health
Muscle, coat, skin and eye health
Appetite and digestion

B vitamins act as coenzymes and play a key role in the metabolism of carbohydrate, protein and fat. When their supply is limited, the central nervous system can be the first to be affected.
Like a well-oiled machine, B vitamins work together to support energy production and the health of your pet’s brain, liver, muscle, nervous and immune systems, skin, coat and eyes.
There’s one pitfall of B vitamins that can leave your pet especially at risk... Unlike fat-soluble vitamins and the one exception, vitamin B12, excess amounts aren’t stored in your pet’s body. Rather, they pass through via his or her urine. This means your dog or cat must get the entire B complex of vitamins through diet every day. And your pet needs them in the right proportions to each other.
For that reason, Dr Karen Becker recommends a vitamin B complex rather than individual B vitamins.
Could Extra B Vitamins Make your Pet Less Attractive to Fleas and Other Biting Pests? If your pet struggles with fleas or other biting pests, you may find that extra B vitamins (especially thiamine) can help.
Experts believe B vitamins may make blood less attractive to fleas. While certainly not the most important reason, it’s just one additional rationale to add B vitamins to your pet’s diet...
So what’s the best source to add? Since most B vitamins on the market today are from feed-grade mixes of isolated synthetic nutrients, Dr Karen Becker prefers using a natural source of B vitamins like raw meat or a B vitamin complex supplement that I know contains co-factors and enzymes.
Of all the B vitamins, thiamine is the one that is most difficult to get from food in sufficient quantities. And because thiamine is so easily destroyed by heat, oxygen and alkaline pH, Dr Karen Becker likes to supply supplemental amounts.
Brewer's yeast, which is high in B vitamins, is often recommended to boost vitamin B levels, but Dr Karen Becker doesn’t recommend using it. Many pets have allergies that can be made worse with yeast.

My dog finds this palatable added to his food and it is a great way to give him a good quality vitamin B supplement. His health problems have not returned since I started him on a range of supplements and antioxidants and swapped all prescribed flea treatments for safe, natural ones.

Bought this to feed in combination with magnesium - for an old terrier with terrier tremor. After one week she is hardly trembling anymore, so will definitely continue this treatment.

Why very poor? I order 24g of Vit B Comp. It was delivered in a glass container with a screw lid. The container is 80mm x 60mm circ. The goods just covered the bottom 10mm. Pathetic.

Hi Neil. Thank you for leaving this review. I do agree the container size is very large in relation to its contents. I believe this may be because they use same size jar for a number of different products. The Vitamin B product is by far the lowest weight compared to others that use the same jar. Lets hope they look into this. Regards Kay

My cat has been on this for a little while now. A tub lasts months. 1/2 a scoop goes a long long way. My vet was happy I had my cat on this (he has food allergies). Would highly recommend if your pet has problems absorbing their food.

Bought to help a border collie get over a bout of pancreatitis and low folate. She's raw fed so adding it to her meals is really easy. Her latest bloods show all back to normal with her pancreas and folate has risen but is still low

It is way too early to make a review of this product. My dog is very poorly after major surgery and now will not walk. Diagnosed with a neurological condition and this was recommended. With this added to her food she stopped eating which resulted in her having to be tube fed. She rejected the tube after a week and we tried her food normally which she accepted. We are now feeding her meds with a syringe in her mouth. She is very weak as result of all of this. Hopefully the product will help. Only time will tell.
