Many thanks Josephine for leaving this review and I am sorry to hear that the results were slow in coming back to you. We have spoken to our Lab partners and they confirm that they received the sample on Monday 8th January and the results were emailed on Tuesday 9th around lunchtime. So I believe the delay could been caused with Royal Mail as I know they were pretty busy straight after Christmas clearing the backlog from the Christmas / New Year period as well as dealing with the large volume of orders going through the network from Companies who had been shut down over the Christmas Period. Hopefully if you do use a test kit again, the turnaround should be quicker. Regards Kay

“The reason for the test was the dog had visible worms again and was under East Gates vet care, each time with worms visible before treatment at monthly intervals for 6 months even supplying pictures of the dog's poo. Only now the vet suggested a faecal test to identify the type of worm, then wouldn't accept test as not conducted by them. Ensured every sample had worms contained in it and the test came back with everything showing none or none seen. When contacted and explained Feclab did offer to send a new test kit which was declined due to the further delay that would cause to dog's treatment that was required ASAP. Unhappy changed vets, showed a video of worms, explained nothing worked in over 6 months, and was prescribed a large dose of wormer one day after receiving these results. Within 30 minutes of treatment, since the dog excretion was loose the best description would be like spaghetti bolognese! None or none seen- what a scam. From my experience this was a total fail and waste of money.”

We are sorry to hear that you feel your experience has been a waste of money and understand that you feel you have faced challenges and a lack of support with your veterinary care. We have been selling these kits for over 2 years and this is the first feedback of this nature that we have received. As you discussed with our laboratory partners, advice was given around a possible tapeworm infection, due to a flea infestation that your dog has experienced. We understand that our partner explained to you, in an email and on the telephone, tapeworm is shed intermittently and therefore is not always present within a sample – this was also explained on your results form. We note that you also mentioned that your vet did not see anything in the samples either, at the time of testing. Our laboratory partner advised you that due to your dog’s age and medical history, that your vet would be best placed to recommend appropriate treatment due to a range of other symptoms that your dog was also facing and due to no eggs being seen within the sample. We are sorry to hear that you have experienced issues with your veterinary practice/ vet, however we understand that you have since been in contact with our laboratory partner, Feclab and that you were appreciative of their advice based on the information you provided to them.
