“I used Billy no Mates all last Summer and it seemed to work. This last 2 months there have been so many Ticks I have had to resort to the Vets Tick / Fles treatment. I have kept on with the herbs as well, is that ok and will go.back to it in the winter.”

Hi Gillian. Many thanks for taking the time to leave this review. We are experiencing a very bad year with ticks. I have spoken to CSJ who have given me the following feedback, so not sure how relevant this is to you: Billy No Mates takes at least 4-6 weeks to get into the dog’s system properly. In addition did you take a little break over the winter? CSJ have found with constant use over a couple of years or more some dogs can become immune to the effects and need a little break for a month or two and then restart it again and this helps. Ensure you are feeding the correct quantities – CSJ have had examples where customers are feeding way too much and also not enough. There is some room for increasing quantities as the use of herbs is not an exact science, and some dogs need more than others. If you think this might be the case let me know the weight of your dog and how much BNM your dog has been getting and I will check with CSJ to see if you could potentially increase the amount you are giving. Is your dog on any other supplements or medications that could be affecting the uptake of the active constituents in the herbs. Again if you want to share this with me, I can speak with CSJ and they can see if it might be a factor. And finally although there is no scientific basis behind it CSJ do find that some dogs get on better with the liquid tincture than the dried version and vice versa. So this may be worth considering. We often suggest layering....so maybe consider a spray which you can apply. We cannot currently get the Skinny Spray, but the Neem Team Neem Shield spray is very similar, so could be worth considering. “Worked for my GSD. No fleas or ticks all last spring & summer. Also it gave her a shiny coat. It has a strong smell but she actually loved it added to her kibble and even licked her lips! We had a few months off taking it over the winter, as recommended, but we’ll be using it again this year.”
