APPLICATION: It is suggested applying Snout Soother as often as possible for the first few days of use, but recommend a minimum of 2-3 times during this period. Apply to your pup just before they go to sleep. Snout Soother works FAST.
As a sunscreen, Snout Soother has an estimated equivalent SPF 9 and is best to be applied just before your dog is exposed to the sun. This should last 12 hours but there is no harm reapplying the balm more frequently. As these products are 100% natural and organic, there is no adverse affects applying several times per day for added protection, if worried.
DISTRACTION: After applying Snout Soother try and distract your dog for a few minutes while the product starts to sink in and "gets to work". The oils in Snout Soother absorb deep into the skin quickly but can be also be extremely tasty. By going for a walk, playtime, treat time or anything else you and your dog love to do should help keep them distracted while Snout Soother gets to work.
WHAT IF MY DOG LICKS IT OFF? Snout Soother is 100% natural, safe and edible. Primary ingredients include nut oils and butters, which can be appealing to dogs, so they may attempt to lick it off. This is perfectly normal! Snout Soother will still work even if most of it is licked off, although for best results it is advised using distractions (as detailed above) such as treats or mealtime to allow more time for the product to work it's magic!
