This shampoo smells heavenly. It doesn't lather as much as cheaper quality shampoo, and was easier to rinse off. It made my Yorkie's coat soft & very shiny, and I noticed didn't take as long to dry her, which was great for both of us! I wish they made a version for humans, too.

There are very few pet shampoos in the UK that I will happily use on my dog. She has some skin issues, causing her itchy feet and irritation under her tail. Regular bathing helps enormously, so we need very mild shampoos, with no additives that might irritate her skin. Dr Mercola shampoo fits the bill perfectly. It’s not too highly perfumed (important if your dog is sensitive to strong smells, like ours is), and doesn’t smell of neem, which is amazing for skin but on its own can be rather pungent. The gentle lavender essential oil is pleasant, and is well known for its calming effect, emotionally, and for skin problems. Don’t be concerned if it doesn’t produce lots of lather - that’s often the case with this type of shampoo. No need to keep adding more shampoo, just try adding more water. Leaves behind a squeaky clean dog, with a beautifully shiny coat, and helps calm her itchy feet.

Hi Lynne. A BIG thank you for leaving such a thorough review about Dr Mercola's dog Shampoo - this will really help others when making their decision. Glad you have also pointed out about the lather as I know that can be strange as we are so used to the bubbles from the detergents in mainstream shampoos. Regards Kay
