“Was really looking forward to trying this on my Frenchie but I found the shampoo very sticky and left my pups coat feeling like it had residue on it despite me thoroughly rinsing it off. Despite smelling nice when I opened the bottle, I also didn't think it took away any of the 'doggy smell' like the Earthbath products I had already been using. It might just be this particular fragrance but I won't be buying again”

Hi Asmita. Thank you for leaving this review, but sorry to hear that you haven't been fully satisfied with the 4-legger products that you have purchased from us. I have spoken to the creator of the 4-Legger and she has sent me a detailed response which I will email you her response. I believe what you may be experiencing is a simple, and short-term circumstance referred to as “transition”. This sometimes happens when switching from traditional shampoo (like Earthbath), to Certified Organic shampoo (4-Legger), during which time the hair can be quite different than what you are used to. All dogs go through transition, but NOT all dogs show it visibly. For the ones that do, it offers a very unique perspective and educational opportunity that will help you understand what is happening and more importantly, why. The 4-Legger shampoo is not causing the transition; it is revealing the amount of synthetic residue that has built up on your dog’s coat. So the above could explain what you have experienced.
