Dyes: SimplyFido products are coloured with low impact dyes, also known as "fibre reactive dyes".  This dye process uses less water and generates much less waste and contamination.  Low impact dyes do not contain toxic chemicals and they require low temperatures during productions, which saves energy needed to heat the dyes.  The reclaiming of dyes from used water allows the water to be recycled, therefore reduces environmental impact in making of our products.
Product Safety: Simply Fido’s eco-friendly products are tested for all ages and meet the highest product safety standards including:- ASTM - EN71 – part 9 - CE - BV Certified Non-Toxic 16CFR 1500.3(b)(5) and (8)(FHSA regulations) - Oeko-Tex Certification - OCIA Certified Organic Cotton
ASTM: ASTM International is one of the largest voluntary standards development organizations in the world-a trusted source for technical standards for materials, products, systems, and services. Known for their high technical quality and market relevancy, ASTM International standards have an important role in the information infrastructure that guides design, manufacturing and trade in the global economy. EN71: EN71 is European safety criterion for toys effective since 1990 in the European Union (EU).   The standard EN 71 – 9 specifies the requirements for migration or content of certain hazardous organic chemical compounds from/in toy materials by the following exposure routes, such as mouthing, ingestion and skin contact. CE : The CE mark (officially Communaut' European marking) is a mandatory marking on certain products, which was introduced by the European Commission, and adopted in July 1993.  The CE Mark is not a quality mark, but rather a symbol that indicates conformity to the legal requirements of the European Union (EU) Directive. Every manufacturer or first supplier in the Community must place a CE mark on their toy to indicate that it has been made in conformity with the essential safety requirements of the directive.  Certified Non-Toxic: Classification of not being toxic or a skin/eye irritant as defined in the  16CFR 1500.3(b)(5) and (8)(FHSA regulations), based on a Toxicological Risk Assessment by an approved Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services toxicologist. Oeko-Tex Standard 100: The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 comprehensively addresses the Human Ecology component of textile products. It evaluates and screens for any harmful substances present within processed textiles intended to come into contact with consumers.  The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 encompasses the industries established testing criteria for textile products and also addresses quality assurance and test procedures. It not only takes into account the finished textile goods, but also any associated accessories and "grey" product areas such as fibres, yarns and buttons.  In this standard, the relevant harmful substances are defined together with limiting values, taking into consideration the intended use of the product. For example, the clothing products close to the skin, such as underwear and baby products.  Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA): One of the world’s oldest, largest & most trusted leaders in the organic certification industry. OCIA has been certifying products as organic since 1985 and is accredited as an organic certifier by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA)

Hi there. Many thanks for reviewing this product. Glad you liked the dog toy but appreciate this feedback. I will tweak our description to take this into account. This will also help other customers. If you have a look on the website here https://www.healthfulpets.co.uk/dogs/natural-dog-toys/dog-chew-toys there are suggestions for "chew" toys. If I can help in anyway then feel free to call me.
