“This grass seed is fantastic, my lawn is turfed with this and people comment on how green and thick it looks all the time, even through winter, I needed the seed because I extended the lawn a couple of metres and it has grown really well, would highly recommend shadesman + turf or seed”

“Bought this seed as the turf wasn’t available until late in the year and we needed to establish a new lawn. The seed is very small and I wonder whether the 5g per m2 is correct as it felt extremely little. We definitely used a lot more than this to get a full lawn going. We put down the rapid roots fertiliser to give our seed a boost and seeded early April. It was very slow to germinate but in the areas that got some sun, we started seeing a tint of green after 10 days and the more shady parts took about 18-20 days. We’ve continuously watered 3 times a day for 7-10min and now, after about two months it’s looking like an established lawn with only a few bare patches that it needs to spread into. Because it’s slow to germinate be careful of other weeds and plants getting in there first, we’ve had to pinch out quite a few intruders. Colour is very nice and I hope it is as tolerant as advertised, because this will make it worth it, otherwise the price is quite steep for the amount you get.”
