Recently bought the carbon poles and put them to good use for the first time in the Sierra Nevada last weekend. Absolutely saved my life and I'm sure they will do again.

I purchased the Helvellyn PRO Carbon Z-Poles V2 and so far used them on a walking holiday in Madeira and in the Peak District. They are the perfect height for me and super light weight. My only critisism would be that the catch on one of the poles doesn't click without some effort. I'm hoping that this improves over time.

So far I’m really impressed with the poles, very light to carry when they’re are in a running belt or quiver and very sturdy (I’m a heavier trail runner 100kg+) and on steeper climbs I feel confident putting my body weight on them and have no worries about the poles not being able to handle my weight!

Superb poles! So glad I bought these after watching a review video on the Run4Adventure YouTube channel. Going to get plenty of use on the Jurassic Coast this year!

Love these poles. In the interest of openness, I also use LEKI poles which perform well for me on shorter/technical terrain. As the outing/races get longer, the Hellvellyn Pro Z-Poles V2 are a better fit for me - comfier handle, I like the ability to use the hand/wrist strap and then sometimes not use it, not quite as stiff as the Leki (which I find a blessing on long/multi-day stuff), but enough rigidity. Lightweight, easier opening/extension than others I've owned. I'm a repeat buyer of these poles ... great kit.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Let’s get one thing clear – I’m not built for speed. If mountain goats are sports cars, I’m more like a double decker bus with a dodgy clutch trying to squeeze down a Cornish B road. So when I set off on the South West Coast Path, I needed poles that could handle the weight of a man who thinks a “light snack” is a full Cornish pasty and a cream tea. Enter the Helvellyn PRO Carbon Z-Poles V2 130. Compact, carbon, and supposedly for people who run up mountains. Well, not on my watch these were bought for hiking only. And let me tell you, they’ve been through absolute pole hell. I’ve leaned on them like they’re the handrail of life itself, shoved them into bogs, wedged them into rocks, and probably asked more from them than their designers ever intended. A month later? Still standing. Still solid. Still looking like they’ve just come out the box. Honestly, I half expected them to snap like breadsticks under my not so petite frame, but no they’ve held me up, kept me upright, and even survived a few “I’ve slipped but no one saw it so I’ll style it out” moments. These things are now my go to hiking poles. Sorry Leki, you’ve been replaced. If the Helvellyn Pros can take me huffing, puffing, and sweating my way up and down every cliff on the South West Coast Path without a complaint, they can take anyone. Stronger than they look, tougher than me, and probably the best bit of kit I’ve bought in years. In summary: if they can handle a man-mountain fuelled by pasties, ale, and poor life choices they can handle you.

Light, easy to assemble/dissassemble. Handles/grips fit nicely.

Light as anything, they feel really strong and have helped so much on steep and more gradual incline's out on the trail. There was literature that came with the poles that was guineinly useful (not empty window dressing) and a follow up email, which was super-useful too. Really, really happy with them.
