This jacket truly is excellent. I spent a fair amount of time comparing a few jackets before purchasing. Loads of helpful features, excellent fit and the quality is really good. I was a bit dubious to be honest as at this price point I really did not expect the jacket to be as good in reality. Yes, there are better performing jackets out there, but expect to pay nearer the £300 mark for that. I managed to get the Exmoor in a sale at £75! At this price point it really is a no brainer. An excellent jacket that I will enjoy for some time

Before I start this review about the Harrier Exmoor Waterproof jacket - I don't trail run! So this is a review of the jacket for normal use. I travel worldwide, I need a lightweight waterproof I can keep in my suitcase and use in multiple climates, from warm humid conditions all the way through to wet then cold and dry! I used to use North Face due to the pit sips which are essential in warmer wet climates. However, I decided to try a homegrown UK brand, and so far it has been a good decision! I tried the jacket in Vienna, blustery and cold (-7degC) with light snow. It worked well during a long walk around the city (17km). The flexible fabric is comfortable. The design means it feels like it's a snug fit but the vents at the back expand and allow several layers to be worn comfortably. The hood fitted well over my ski hat and allowed plenty of head movement with no restriction. When fully done up there is still a bit of face open to the elements but the harrier tube scarf covers that aspect perfectly. There are plenty of pockets plus the bum bag pocket which is very useful for storing hat/tube scarf, gloves etc. I use a small backpack and the nonslip material on the shoulders is invaluable. Not having to readjust the straps every few minutes is a great help. The thumb hole at the end of the sleeves is welcome to stop the sleeves from riding up and helped keep my gloves partially covered from the wind. The only downsides I can see so far are the chest zip pocket is not big enough for my phone, I am not convinced the pit zips are big enough to allow a lot of airflow, however, I will have to wait and see when I am in a warmer humid environment. Finally, I have not worked out a way to perfectly fold the jacket away in its bum bag (which you are supposed to be able to do!). If anybody could show me it would be great, packing the jacket in its built-in bum bag would be great for my suitcase. Good price, good features, friendly local small UK company to order from, pleasantly surprised. You do not have to be a runner to own this jacket! I would recommend this jacket for walkers too!

I purchased an Exmoor jacket on the recommendation of my friend Stephen Reid who had reviewed it. I couldn’t be happier with the decision as it’s a beautifully designed jacket and ticks all the boxes. In fact two other friends purchased the same jacket after they’d seen mine! The black one is on the list for Christmas

runners for runners! It has just the right fit and loads of features you don’t find anywhere else! I love the back how I can put the trail pack under my jacket, also love the pit zips and how the hood fits properly with a reinforced peak. Definitely worth the money and with 20% off even better!

I bought a large which was just a fraction too small for me. But the excellent customer service, I was able to exchange for an XL. The quality is top notch and all the pockets, vents are perfect. I will be purchasing more Harrier products.

To be honest I just wanted something lightweight and dedicated to keeping me dry when running. I have tonnes of outdoor waterproof stuff for hiking, camping etc. This is now my favourite piece of outdoor clothing - it feels so light and has great freedom of movement, also packs down way way smaller than any of my other jackets. Absolutely love this jacket, I definitely recommend it, thank you Harrier!
