“I bought a 5l Curbar vest pack to carry my mandatory equipment for fell-racing. After many years of using a bumbag, I find it fantastic. It fits so comfortably and snugly that I forget I'm wearing it. It also holds an astonishing quantity of stuff an a cleverly-designed series of pockets and pouches. Initially I made the mistake of not buying a couple of soft flasks to go with it, but have now rectified the error and look forward to trying them out. They seem to be well-made and slip neatly and accessibly into the front pockets.”

“My second Curbar 5L, that's how much I love them. Only a couple of small gripes, firstly the upward running zips on the underarm pockets can catch and rub under the armpit area if wearing a vest rather than a sleeved top, it would have been better if the zip ran top to bottom. Secondly, the waterproof pocket is almost inaccessible with the over pocket blocking access and leaving a tiny gap for fingers. I have a 10L of which I cut the top pocket and restitched over the zip access so I could open the pocket fully, perhaps worth considering for future designs. Overall it's a great vest and carries way more gear than expected. Also particularly recommended for larger chested ladies who can't fit more than an elbow and half a double chin into an inov-8 vest. Space for storage and space to breathe. Great bit of kit.”

“Fits nice, can fit a surprising amount of gear into it, only couple of small niggles I have with it are I struggle to reach the belt pockets easily, probably just down to poor flexibility and also the loose strap left after adjusting the chest straps, there doesn't seem any obvious way to roll it up and retain it, the little loops on the end aren't stretchy enough to go over the width of the webbing, I may just end up adding a couple of small o-rings to keep everything tidy and stop it flapping about.”
