I am well aware that making a product of this nature that works well for everyone is an impossible task, but this race vest falls well short. Sizing is ridiculous. I fall at the bottom end of a large on the size chart, but that was way too big. Even a medium I have to adjust down as small as it will go and it still bounces. My iPhone 11 which is not huge doesn’t fit in the phone pocket unless I force it. The little pocket with a clip for your keys is at the top by the back of your neck which makes it impossible to reach you keys without taking it off unless you are a contortionist. Plus all you hear while you run is your keys jangling. The zips for the side pockets are wide enough for me to get my hand in, so getting anything out is like squeezing toothpaste from a tube. Only plus is that it’s not too expensive so I won’t lose much money when I throw it in the bin.

Hi Kevin, this vest was sent back to us worn. We clearly state that items need to be in an unused condition to be offered an exchange or refund. The size charts are measured on the circumference of the vest against chest size. Shame it's gone in the bin, a trail running buy and sell group may be preferable to save unnecessary things going to landfill. Thanks, Kate

Recently purchased this and there hasn't been a run I haven't used it on since. Great, hard-wearing material, that feels comfortable on & doesn't move/ride up like others I've tried. Lots of handy features & pockets - it's clear it's been made with every scenario in mind. Strongly recommended!

Vest seems great, I’d say even comes up slightly bigger than expected but weighed down, a good fit. I bought using size chart. Loads of storage, comfy when on.

I needed a run vest for a short commute to work (only 5k along the canal). Needed to carry t-shirt, trousers, a couple of phones and sometimes a packed lunch :) . This 5L Curbar does it with room left over! The through pocket at the back will be great for a waterproof when the weather changes. Loads of adjustments for the perfect fit, making it very comfortable to run in with hardly any movement, perfect. Very well made, a quality product that ticks all the boxes

- Pockets arrangement is great. - Bottles are tight to the vest with no shaking. - The vest is not tight enough to the body, it shakes a bit up and down during running. Tried to adjust the straps and so on, but didn't help. Size down may help, I don't know. - Don't like the zippers on both side pockets, can't take out the stuffs easily when running

Why are you looking at the Harrier Curbar 5L rather than a Salomon Active Skin 4? Salomon is the easy choice it's on all the youtube videos, at all ultra running events. It could be that you want to support a UK company or you don't want the same vest as every other runner or that while Salomon has a reputation you don't get much bang for your buck. The Curbar is a bit cheaper and has a lot more pockets and storage options for around the same weight. The build quality is on point, I've done a fair few miles with this vest now and I tend to store 4x500ml flasks, carbon poles, 4x shotbloks, first aid kit, plasters, etc all the normal ultra running stuff with no stress on the bag. The zips can be tugged aggressively and not complain or stick. It has a well-balanced weight and doesn't bounce about due to the sizing options. The only issue I've had is I'm about 184cm so I need slightly longer poles which on the backswing when mounted can hit my elbows, but with slight arm adjustment and this issue is gone. So if you need a running or even hiking vest with low weight and great storage options you won't go wrong with this option.

Super quick delivery. Used for the first time on Saturday. Absolutely brilliant. Thought I would give it a thorough test by tripping and landing on it. Race vest, contents and I survived unscathed. Plenty of pockets and storage, easy access pockets at the sides and deep bottle pockets that actually hold the bottle/flask securely, no more bottle flop for me.

I am impressed with the features the Curbar Race Vest has at this price, many rival vests are at least 50% more. The sizing is spot on and there is plenty of adjustment available to get a perfect fit.
