“Overall this is a great pack and I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. I'm really happy with it and, for me, a couple of tweaks would make it perfect. The positives: * There's plenty of storage space with plenty of options and mostly well thought-through. I can get all my winter kit in. * I like the stretchy fabric of the new version. I'd have prefered a more visible colour for safety on the fells but apparently more people like stealth colours and it's a minor point. There are at least lots of reflective points incorporated. The nits (they aren't huge negatives): * The phone pocket is pretty much inaccessible on the move once there’s a water bottle in the left-hand pocket. I like to pause to take a quick photo now and again but I'm finding it time-consuming and fiddly to access. * The “waist” pockets have a decent amount of space in them but I’m finding the zip openings are a little restrictive for the space available, depending on what I’m trying to put in them. Perhaps I just have big hands? Other observations: * The chest straps have a coating on the back that helps them to stick to each other. I can see this being both a blessing and a curse. On one hand, it stops them from loosening off as I’m running. On the other hand, it makes them almost impossible to adjust on the move, for example tightening them as you empty a water bladder. * I've found sizing is as described. I’m male with a 38-inch chest (the borderline between Small and Medium). I have a Medium; I can just get the chest straps as tight as I want them and there isn’t a lot of travel left to tighten them further - that seems pretty much spot on.”

“I got the vest as part of the ultra trail running bundle, it fits spot on and even with two 500ml soft bottles in the front pockets it doesn't bounce or rub at all, I did check out reviews on YouTube but they was all on the previous model, unfortunately one of the features from the old one didn't transfer and that's the front mounting for poles, that said you can't get a better pack for the money”

“I purchased a Kinder 10L ultra vest. Did an organised recce run of first half of Hardmoors 55 wearing my brand new vest delivered the day before. At the start, there were 5 of us in identical black Harrier Kinder vests with the red lettering. Obviously, a very popular choice in the ultra running community. Was so much comfier than the UD SJ vest I had been wearing for years before which seriously chafed my back. The thought that has gone into the design is great. There are so many little details and places to store bits. Really like the silicon grip on the back of the straps and the toggles are nice and chunky so you can still control them when your fingers are freezing cold.”

“Brilliant vest! Been out today for my first run in it and it's perfect. Looks good, fits great and has plenty of space for everything I need to put in it. I have my first Ultra coming up in a few months. This vest more than enough space for the equipment needed for the 50 mile run. Very happy with it.”
