“This replaced a Stennheiser Flex 5000 streaming unit that uses earphones. The advantage of the Widex TV Play is that one does not have to remove ones hearing aids and replace by the earphones and one can continue having conversations while watching TV. But the stennheiser has better base response though by adjusting the balance between surrounding and streaming it can be somewhat compensated. The Widex app controls were superior. The Samsung optical input was initially too loud but by turning on the Samsung Auto Volume it reduced the volume of the louder HD channels. On balance I prefer the Widex.”
