I had a some of these protectors before through the NHS and used them over a few years before losing them. Inevitably they are rather fiddly. On the plus side there was little sign of wear. I mostly need them because I walk my dog up on the moors in all weathers and wind noise is a problem. I had hoped, with my experience of music microphone wind shields, that they might eliminate it. Unfortunately not, but they do make a significant improvement, reducing wind noise to about the level I get without my hearing aids. Obviously I thought it worth spending my own money on a replacement set. One of my aids is bigger than the other and I noticed that it was more prone to still getting wind noise. That seems to be down to the tighter fit. I was able to fix it by sliding the protector forward a little so it wasn't so snug by the microphone. Also in the past I would sometimes get noise from the protectors rubbing against the arms of my glasses. That's not a problem with the latest set. Perhaps it depends on the glasses. Regarding moisture I find rain generally isn't a problem. If it's enough to get the protectors wet I'd be wearing a hood or hat anyway. However, I'm inclined to sweat and that can soak into the protectors. In which case I generally take them off. I'm not sure if anything could be done about that.
