What is a conduit gland?+
A conduit gland (also called a conduit fitting or adaptor) provides a sealed, threaded connection between flexible conduit and an enclosure, junction box or fitting. The integrated locknut secures the gland from inside the enclosure.
Where are conduit glands typically used?+
Common applications include industrial control panels, machinery wiring, factory cable management, and any installation where flexible conduit terminates into an enclosure with a sealed entry.
How is a conduit gland installed?+
Push the gland into the conduit, screw the gland body through the enclosure entry hole, fit the locknut on the inside, and tighten to secure. The conduit is now sealed into the enclosure.
