Description:
Black rivets with large flanges are similar to standard large flange rivets but are oxide coated for a beautiful black finish. The rivet consists of a cylindrical shaft with a large flange on one end and a tapered end on the other.
The large flange provides a larger bearing surface for the load and distributes the force over a wider area. It also reduces the risk of pull-through. The tapered end is pulled through the materials to be joined using a rivet gun or other installation tool, expanding to create a permanent bond.
