Frequently Asked Questions
How heat-resistant are these cable ties?+
Our UV and heat-resistant ties are typically rated for continuous operation up to around 105°C, with intermittent peaks higher. Significantly above standard nylon ties (around 85°C). Suitable for engine bays, motor housings, and warm industrial environments.
How are these different from standard black cable ties?+
Standard black ties contain enough carbon black for general UV stability; these specialist UV and heat-resistant ties have additional heat-stabilisation additives, extending the operating temperature range and giving better long-term performance in warm environments.
Where are UV and heat-resistant ties typically used?+
Automotive engine bays, industrial machinery, motor enclosures, lighting fixtures, and outdoor electrical equipment where ties face combined sun and heat exposure over long service life.
Are these the right choice for very high temperatures?+
For sustained temperatures above approximately 130°C, stainless steel cable ties are the right choice — these UV/heat resistant nylon ties have a higher temperature limit than standard nylon but cannot match steel for extreme heat.

Used smaller ones before (from different company) for use on outside decking privacy screen which were always breaking due to rain/heat and wind. These have lasted much better and through strong storm with no breakages so very happy.
