5 Rating 1 Reviews
Read GTSE Reviews

Our range of stainless steel cable ties are manufactured from high quality marine grade 316 stainless steel, and comply with BS7671 for the safe installation of wiring systems, especially in and around safety routes.
These ties are commonly used for applications that require a higher strength, higher temperature range and resistance to weathering, aging, fire or chemicals.
Stainless steel cable ties are used across a range of applications from production line facilities, aircraft, power plants, mines, commercial kitchens, tunnels and oil and gas platforms – all of which present harsher operating environments.

Fitting stainless steel cable ties
We recommend fitting stainless steel cable ties with one of our installation tools linked on the right of this page.
Whilst it is possible to install them by hand, it is essential that the tool is used to tension the cable ties, particularly when using larger sizes within the range.
Our installation tool can be adjusted depending on width and desired tension of the cable tie. When the required tension has been achieved, the tool neatly cuts any excess material resulting in a robust and tidy fitting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are 316 marine grade stainless steel cable ties suitable for sea water exposure?+
Yes — 316 stainless steel contains added molybdenum, giving it superior corrosion resistance against chlorides and salt water. This is the recommended grade for marine, coastal and chemically aggressive environments.
What temperature range can stainless steel cable ties withstand?+
316 stainless steel cable ties typically operate from approximately -80°C up to +538°C, far exceeding the limits of nylon ties. Suitable for engine bays, exhaust systems and high-temperature industrial applications.
How are stainless steel cable ties installed?+
Stainless steel cable ties are tightened using a dedicated installation tool, which applies consistent tension and trims off the excess strap. Hand-tightening is not recommended.
What's the difference between 316 and 304 stainless steel cable ties?+
Both are corrosion-resistant, but 316 contains molybdenum which significantly improves resistance to chloride and salt attack. 304 is suitable for general indoor and sheltered outdoor use; 316 is the marine and chemical-environments choice.
