I am actually using them for the spindles on a chair back so straightness is quite important as I am using almost the whole length and while I really needed 12 mm that size wasn't readily available anywhere at a decent price - so decided to go for the 1/2" and sand ends down slightly which has worked perfectly
There was a slight fault in one which was replaced almost immediately after I sent photo of the problem.”
