“A conditional recommendation. I have not found it very easy to use compared to the ice bear waterstone that I have had for 20 years. I wanted the extra width for plane blades and there is very little choice if you you want something 3 inches wide. I find that I can use it quite well on a tiny secondary bevel, but once the bevel gets to be more than 2mm wide, I struggle to get an edge. Still learning how to use it.”
