“I received this face mask in my monthly subscription and have just tried it for the first time. It's a strange product - it took a long time to soften even under hot water and I wouldn't describe the result as a 'paste' it was more like a wax. When it finally did melt, it was all over my palms so was then difficult to apply to my face. I ended up having to wipe my palms over my face just to apply the product. It dries like clay, as the name suggests and was harder to remove than to apply. Warm water didn't do it - it just smeared further around the face. I had to use make up remover and face wipes to get it off. Before I tried this face mask I did wonder how many applications you would get out of one bar (which broke when I used it). Now I don't care as I'll be throwing this away after one use.”

“Have now used this a couple of times and like others have said, it is impossible to work it up into a paste. I ended up making it very wet then stroking on my skin like a lipstick. Once on it did feel nice, but was hard to rinse off. Second time I applied it and washed off whilst in the bath so as not to make such a mess like the first time! My face did feel very soft after use though”

“While I like the concept, this is hard to make a suitable consistency to be an effective mask, has a weird texture and is difficult to clean off surfaces. Even completely crushed it is difficult to use.”

“Unfortunately after following the instructions on the packaging, I am unable to manage to make this into the right consistency to use efficiently as a face mask, it is either lumpy and clay like, or too thin to spread.”

“I got this as part of a set for Mothers Day, it’s really difficult to use. Water had to be boiling hot to get the stick to form to a paste but I just ended up with bits and lumps everywhere. Great concept just not executed very well.”

“I didn’t really get on with this face mask. I found it quite difficult to smush up into a paste and it left a mess in the bath and sink that was quite greasy and required a scrub. Having said that once it was a paste it felt lovely and left my skin feeling really soft I just found the before and after a bit to faffy.”
