“I took one of the bars (Amber +cadamon) for a weekend away, as it seemed an ideal alternative to liquids. Sadly, I was really disappointed. It was unbelievably solid - so much so that I double checked to ensure I'd not left a wrapper on it! Despite following the instructions, there was no lather, and rubbing it on my body was like massaging with a piece of plastic! Needless to say I didn't feel clean and refreshed. I'm hoping that if I persevere, it will eventually soften, and perhaps the other bars will be better, but tbh I don't think I'd purchase this product again. Sorry!”

The surfactant in the product is derived from coconut and cleans just as well however the bars do not create large bubbles but are more of a creamy layer that cleans and moisturises the skin at the same time. “I was a little disappointed with the shower gel bar. The bars were difficult to use and would not lather up. I prefer the soap bars. The shower gel was not like I was expecting and I struggle to get much from the bar.”

“To keep it short - smell is amazing, doesn’t lather up in a satisfying way. I know they’re shower gel bars and not soap but there isn’t really a feeling of true cleanliness afterwards. I think they’re okay, using them daily at the moment but my review is based on the website price! If they were constantly a few quid for the set then I’d be over the moon”

“Beautiful smell but absolutely no lather. Usually love Gruum products (would definitely recommend their soap, shampoo & conditioner bars) but these were disappointing - felt like rubbing your body with a pleasant smelling stone!”

“Unfortunately the shower gel bars didn't foam. I didn't feel like a could wash with them. I am used to using shampoo bars from a different company that foam really well.”
