“I have only opened the black pepper and cedar wood shower bar and I was disappointed that I couldn’t get any lather out of it no matter how I tried. Maybe I’m missing something because I wanted to love it.”

The Tvatta Shower gel bars are soap-free and do not foam like regular shower gel. The surfactant in the product is derived from coconut and cleans just as well however the bars do not create large bubbles but are more of a creamy layer that cleans and moisturises the skin at the same time. “These had a lovely smell and were just the right size for the shower soap dish but unfortunately when I came to use the first one it was like trying to lather a stone! I just couldn't get any soap/foam/lather from it, I would rub it in my hands and then rub my body to find that I was just rubbing a wet hand against my skin. I have tried soaking the bar in hot water, same results.”

“I’m so disappointed, as I completely embrace the plastic-free, vegan friendly attitude. I have only tried using the Bergamot and Grapefruit shower gel bar so far (several times), but I don’t seem to be able to get any lather from it whatsoever. I did try to reply to your email rather than writing a review, but it was automatically returned. :(”

“The gel bar seems like a good idea, but in practice, it's hard work to produce any lather, so is not as user friendly as a normal gel. If this was resolved it would be a better product.”

“I have only used one of these four so far. I regularly use a gruum body bar in the shower which is great and lathers very well. This one in the Luxury Shower Gel Bar Set, however, smells good but doesn't produce any lather at all. So you don't feel you are getting clean. Disappointing.”

“They smell lovely and I had high hopes. However, in a hard water area like London, they are completely useless. I was unable to get even a hint of foam to wash with. I am trying to think what else i could do with them, as as I said before, the scent is spot on.”
