“Great packaging, lovely smell but a very disappointing product. Zero lather and it felt like showering using a frozen block of lard. Sorry guys, but this won’t be replacing shower gel anytime soon unless you improve the in-use feel.”

The Tvatta Shower gel bars are soap-free and do not foam like regular shower gel. The surfactant in the product is derived from coconut and cleans just as well however the bars do not create large bubbles but are more of a creamy layer that cleans and moisturises the skin at the same time. “Hi I am not entirely sure about those bars. They are certainly different than soaps. They don’t foam at all. I only open one and smells very good but it feels strange to use it. I’m not entirely sure about this product. Might need convincing. Kind regards”

“The smell is lovely and the bar is long lasting and ideal for travel (it’s solid). There is no lather to speak of so you just have to be aware you’re not going to get any bubbles!”

“I really like that the bars are packaged in cardboard - no plastic, and the story of the company is lovely. The bars smell nice and are quite hard so that they last rather than dissolving away. However, I found that they did not lather at all in our hard water - although rubbing them on the skin did leave a film of the product, it seemed like hard work. I received this set as a free gift for the price of postage.”

“Sadly this is the first Gruum purchase I have made that doesn't get an excellent review. I was unable to get any lather whatsoever from the shower gel bars (more like wax) and they did not perform the job of cleansing my skin at all. Lovely fragrances, but all items binned as I could find no use for them.”
