“The soap has a weak fragrance and doesn’t lather at all. It’s pretty much like trying to use a block of wax. You don’t get a great deal for your money either, as the soap is ‘hotel freebie’ small. The product may well be very environmental but the sacrifice is a poor product. I’m struggling getting rid of the rest as I paid quite a lot for them. They are however, useless. Sorry.”

“Don’t know why but the first bar I’ve used doesn’t lather. Not sure if that’s how these work but it’s not what I expected at all?!?”

Hi David, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Sorry to hear that the Tvatta Shower Gel Bars did not lather as you may have expected them to. The Tvatta Shower gel bars, do not foam like regular shower gel as they are soap-free. The surfactant in the product is derived from coconut and cleans just as well however the bars do not create large bubbles but are more of a creamy layer that cleans and moisturises the skin at the same time. “I was really disappointed with these shower gel bars. It's the worst soap/ shower gel I've ever come across. All the bars are non-soapy, and don't seem to lather or do anything at all. I'm going to throw them all away. They seem quite useless. I was really surprised how bad they are.”

“I think this is my best Gruum product yet. It is good to be able to try out the four different fragrances. I like the Honeydew and Lime one best so would choose that one in future. The packaging is attractive and they smell lovely. I would have preferred a bit more lather (hence 4 stars) but the fragrance definitely transfers to the skin well. So pretty good overall.”

“The Shower Gel Bar's were not as fragrant as I would have liked them to be, and they did not lather as easily as any shower gel I have ever used. I appreciate that that makes them very long lasting, but I would have prefered more lather and a stronger more feminine fragrance. Neither of which may be as good for the environment! Its a great idea to look for a more environmentally friendly way to freshen up, and I hope your efforts are well rewarded in due course.”
