“Great quality and seems to be doing its job, but I scanned the barcode on the yuka app of the Gruum products that I own and some are coming up with warnings for a few of the ingredients used (such as phenoxyethanol (potential endocrine disrupter), carbomer (concerns over the prescence of small amounts of toxic impurities which may be irritating, neurotoxic and/or carcinogenic as well as being poorly biodegradeable), benzyl salicylate (suspected endocrine disrupter) and Isoeugenol (suspected carcinogen)), whilst others are coming up as excellent (such as after sun face oil bar and moisurising bars and green clay face mask to name but a few im sure....), which is very pleasing especially when compared with other cosmetic brands, but concerned for the warnings issued on some of the other products.”

Some naturally derived ingredients, like phenoxyethanol, carbomer, benzyl salicylate, and isoeugenol, may appear on apps like Yuka with cautionary notes, but in the concentrations we use they are within safe cosmetic limits and are thoroughly tested for skin compatibility.
