Excellent value boots, very comfortable from the box. These are a strong supportive boot, fully waterproofed. This is my second pair of this model and third from Grisport. Last model was the Decoy boot which was also very good. To compare the two, Ranger is a little heavier, more supportive and sturdy and the Decoy being slightly lighter and supple. The Decoy boots lasted a good 6 years of hard country wear and I expect these two pairs of Ranger boots to better that. I rate Grisport products far higher than another well known more expensive brand that failed me miserably.

Have worn them now for two full days beating going through mud and wet kale fields and so far feet dry as a bone. Did coat them with wax before each trip. Have not given 5 stars as want to use them a few more times yet and still have dry feet.

The boot for the price is impressive. Double stitched, waterproof without dubbing, comfortable. Grisport customer service is a let down. Jenny was fine, i asked a question about the misleading description and Gavin replied with an answer that made me wonder if the question was looked at. I replied by asking to converse with someone in charge to retain my custom and have heard nothing yet, 8 days on. Its a shame, the boots seem to be good quality.

Slightly large had to use an extra pair of thin socks to take up volume around the toes. I have a normal width feet in size 9. Used so far for around 30 miles on woodland tracks and roads. Very pleased, they appear to be well made and waterproof in muddy tracks and long wet grass with shallow water to walk through in places. Excellent grip from the Vibram sole and really good ankle support. Very comfortable and not heavy in use. I usually spend a lot more than this on boots so these appear to be good value, but a year or so of use will be needed for a true comparison.
