“After purchasing a pair of Grisport walking boots a year or so ago which have become firm favourites, I was in need of a new pair of quality trainers. I wear my trainers a lot, all year round. This pair of Spur Grey walking shoes are very comfortable out the box and do not disappoint. They have the highly rated vibram soles to give me confidence when walking in varied conditions and a got-tex membrane- excellent for traipsing through the wet Autumn grass with the dog. They have removable insoles which I need so I can place my orthotic soles in them instead. With regards to service, I was very impressed. Good advice over the phone, quick attention to order and delivery, no fuss postage return label included for exchange if needed - which I did, because I need the next size up to accommodate my insoles and leave sufficient room for my toes! “These shoes are OK but pricey for the quality. My pair came with heel tab caught in the stitching.... I expect better quality control on an item of this price. I didn't return them though as I'll simply switch to a different brand. The heel lock cleats are nice and strong but on my foot fail to lock the shoe onto my foot as securely as I would like. I've had better footwear of a different make for less than a third of what I paid.”
“Once again Grisport have produced a superb shoe which can be worn straight out of the box without any issues. I had previously bought a pair of Grisport Saracen boots for winter walking so I had previous experience of just how good Grisport footwear is. The Spur walking shoe are extremely comfortable, light in weight, but rugged enough for fell walking.
The only downside if there is one is that they can be quite expensive if bought directly from the website if not bought when there's an offer on, as they can be substantially cheaper if bought from outdoor shops, albeit without the additional gift pack(s).”
