My new boots are great.
I went away the week after they arrived and wore them daily on 12 mile walks with no chance of a breaking-in period. I had to change the in-soles as the ones they come with felt a little thin, luckily some came in my accessory pack!
They stood up well to walking on road, shale, moor, clambering and boggy sections.
My feet stayed dry and comfortable throughout; long may this continue.
My only complaint, which is minor and others have also commented on, is the fact that the laces could do with being an extra 4”(10cm) long. It is fiddly to tie a knot in the bow at this length. I haven’t checked the length of the freebie laces yet, they may work.
I was dubious about the colour but even after getting very muddy they look fine without me cleaning them yet!
I sized a whole size up and the boots were roomy but comfortable, I prefer this for the downhill’s and thick socks.
I’m now watching for a sale to buy a pair of their trail shoes.”
