“I have experience of owning and wearing 2 pairs of Grisport Crusader boots over the past 5 years.
These boots were excellent in terms of comfort, durability and performance. The second pair are still serviceable. It is very easy to spend over £200 on boots which are no better.
The Crusader boots were unavailable from the usual internet outlets. Perhaps Grisport have discontinued these boots?
Therefore, I purchased the Rampage Boot, they are almost identical in aesthetic design to the Crusader. However, the waterproof membrane is Spo-tex rather than Sympatex.
The heal section looks identical to the Crusader in the online image however in reality the Rampage Boot does not include this exterior rubber heal section. Maybe they have changed the design and not updated the photos. The exterior sole unit is identical to the Crusader, with the mid-sole section perhaps being very slightly softer than the Crusader. The colour I would say is dark brown rather than green as advertised.
Out of the box the Rampage Boot does not disappoint, it is very comfortable and having worn them twice since purchase can also verify that they are definitely waterproof.
The Rampage Boot is slightly less expensive than the Crusader Boot, hopefully the cost savings will not impact their value in the long term.
