“Although description says scent free, when applied the lotion has an unpleasant smell. Was not easily absorbed into the skin and set on the surface only after being in full sun for at least 20mins did the lotion begin be absorbed. Ended up using our usual product as a back up incase the sun protection was not as stated.”

“I tend to shy away from sun lotions. I have hairy arms, legs, back, chest; and the thought of trying to encourage white cream through the forest to the skin is usually too much to contemplate. So ususally use pump spray stuff. However, I was willing to risk the Green People lotion in order to prevent conflict with my environment leanings. And the results were good. Just got back from Mallorca with it. No pink, no burns, gentle pleasing tan. And not too messy penetrating the hairy bits. I would get up in the morning and apply the lotion thoroughly and then just top-up as needed throught the heat of the day. Excellent in combination with the after-sun lotion. I would still prefer a spray, but until Green People come up with that, this lotion works well for hobbitses.”

“This is a great product. Works well for sensitive skin, does not leave your skin feeling sticky and actually does work: you can avoid sunburn if applied properly. Being also marine life friendly, it ticks all the boxes.”

We are very sorry to hear that you have had issues with our Sun Lotion SPF30. Green PeopleÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s ethics are to be as natural and as highly organically certified as possible. In our Sun lotions we use 3 different Sun filters and one of them have a particularly white pigment. We use this ingredient because it is highly effective & safe for not only human use but also aquatic life, (there are many other filters that are easier to apply however not safe for aquatic life, hence the use of it in our Sun Lotion). If you do find that the Sun Lotion does not fully absorb into the skin, we recommend tapping the skin gently after rubbing the lotion in, this helps it absorb further into the skin. It can also be an issue if you have very dry skin as the dead skin cells stop the lotion (any lotion) from getting through to the living skin cells below. In this case we would recommend the above but also to exfoliate to remove the dead skin cells.
