“This is sold as good for prickly heat but I have to disagree. Ordered two different factor sun creams, the face and after sun and can’t use any due to using for no more than 2 days and getting prickly heat. The formulation is thick and not easily absorbed so am very confused how it’s marketed as for prickly heat, never got it so fast using other products. Would not recommend at all.”

This particular sun cream is designed to be both moisturising and highly protective, which can mean it feels slower to absorb than lighter sunscreen formulas, especially in hot or humid climates. Some customers find that applying it in smaller amounts, allowing a little time between layers, or gently tapping it into the skin rather than rubbing helps. That said, we completely understand that texture preferences are very personal.
The tan-accelerating benefit is subtle and works by supporting the skin’s natural tanning response rather than creating an obvious or fast result, so it may not be noticeable for everyone. We’re sorry it didn’t meet your expectations on this occasion.

“I was very surprised and upset that after receiving the sun cream and checking the ingredients over and scanning the product with Yuka the sun cream was rated bad with 13/100. I was surprised and confused particularly after hearing such good things about the brand and their ethics and due to the cost of the product I was expecting better. Regarding Isoamyl p-methoxycinnamate, we’d like to offer some clarity. This ingredient is a UVB filter that is approved for use in both the EU and UK and is not currently restricted or flagged by cosmetic safety authorities. We’re aware that some apps, such as Yuka, may rate it poorly due to structural similarities with another, different ingredient - Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate. However, structural similarity doesn’t mean they behave the same way. For example, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide are structurally related but have completely different safety profiles.
Independent toxicological studies have not shown any evidence of endocrine-disrupting activity for Isoamyl p-methoxycinnamate, and environmental assessments confirm no harmful effects at the levels used in cosmetic products.
