“For a 6'3 rug this is on the neat side and also the tail piece is not very long, I would recommend you buy a size bigger than your horse usually takes, also the metal bits that shorten the leg straps are less rounded than normal... This has caused my mare a few small cuts on her hind legs one day.. But to be fair if there is an accident waiting to happen my mare will find it. I would buy this rug again but a 6'6 next time and I would change out the leg strap for those from a different rug.”

“I measured my friend's (rather skinny 6 year old ex-racehorse) thoroughbred as being 6'3" dock to centre of his chest. The rug was too tight around his hay belly and at the front of his chest. I have been told that the 6'9" one I bought him is rubbing as he is so thin. The people who watch over him said I could sew some sheepskin to the inside or just wait for him to put on weight. The fly mask seems a bit loose around his face but does not extend down as far as the (much coarser mesh) one they have fitted. The fly rug has a silky feel to it. I am wondering about a cotton liner but don't want him to get cold if it rains.”
