“Old-school lead acid battery, feels like good quality construction and it's the right size and got my 20 year-since-it's-started Transalp running so all good. Battery needs to be filled with sulphuric acid which is supplied in a single bottle - which means that you have to be careful to get the cells evenly filled: other batteries I've used have individual tubes of acid for each cell which is a better system. No big deal though - just means it takes 5 mins to fill instead of 3.”
“Battery was delivered quickly and well packaged. Once set up the battery was a vast improvement on the old one (same type and make).
I was disappointed however by some sloppy details on the battery acid bottle and filling tube,which I sent an email about. You said the Varta rep might be interested to hear.I've heard nothing so assume he wasn't, hardly surprising for a company so large I suppose!”
