Apart from the great styling of the crucial is its mid sized and pretty light weight. Its neither too small or to bulky heavy like many fully sized multi-tools so is very handy and pocketable. Each tool is big enough for full size duty. The blade is easily one hand openable and locks very positively and is a great shape for the times to open packages which is most time used for or the odd cutting tasks. The belt clip is very snug to. It just has the right minimal tools you regularly need for those little odd job tasks. And the carabiner bottle opener regularly pops a beer. The one minor drawback I've found is the plier cutters only meet and not shear cut. Otherwise quality is really good with attention to detailed finish.

Purchased a Gerber Crucial multi-tool (with engraving) as a gift - Delivery was very fast, engraving was excellent, packaging great, so the store itself gets 5 stars, but I've dropped 2 stars for the actual product review because the quality of the tool itself is not great, I was expecting better - it's made in China, the precision of the parts is not great, the tool doesn't feel as solid as my Leatherman Skeletool, it has plastic parts and flexes easily when pressure is applied. I doubt it would stand up to the same abuse as my Skeletool. The Crucial is a little better to carry in your pocket than the Skeletool because it's edges are better rounded and it's slightly smaller and lighter, but the Skeletool beats it on quality (from memory the Skeletool is more expensive, however).

Lovely multi tool, just the right size, and a perfect " keep for life" gift. the engraving was a lovely touch for my step son's 18th birthday present. A bit more useful than a tankard!! Good quality and with every tool on there that could be required.
